The AFI Latin American Film Festival is one of North America's largest and longest-running showcases of Latin American cinema. Now in its 35th year, the Festival is one of Washington's top cultural events and features award-winning films, in-person conversations with filmmaker guests and exciting Embassy-hosted parties. With the inclusion of films from Spain and Portugal, the festival celebrates Ibero-American cultural connections during National Hispanic Heritage Month.

PATROL will screen on Sept 21 at 11:30 am, Sept 25 at 5:15 pm, and Oct. 6 at 9:05 pm.

VIDEO: Stop illegal beef imports into the US

Nicaraguan beef sold in global markets, including the US, is contributing to the destruction of tropical rainforests and human rights violations. Nicaragua’s supply chain is broken, with illegally raised cattle finding their way to USDA-approved slaughter houses. We call on American beef importers who are buying beef through these improper channels to demand better controls and adherence to the law.
